💼 Finance Operations

We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Management Accounts team in Glasgow. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality financial reporting and insight to support business performance in a fast-paced, global STEM talent organisation.

You’ll gain strong exposure to month-end processes, financial analysis, and stakeholder collaboration, making this an excellent opportunity for someone progressing towards a professional accounting qualification.

What you'll do

  • Month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations & variance analysis
  • Produce clear, insightful financial commentary
  • Partner with stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues
  • Support audit processes and maintain strong financial controls

What we're looking for

  • Experience in financial or management accounting
  • Studying towards ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to produce clear financial commentary
  • Good communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel skills (advanced desirable)
  • Experience with SAP or Dynamics 365 (nice to have)
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to prioritise independently
