The race to vaccinate the world began in 2020 as the global pandemic hit every country. It has continued throughout 2021. But for our client, this was not the beginning of their journey. Having worked with them since 2018, we knew their goal was to revolutionise cancer medicine through individual therapy plans for patients with the condition.
However, as the world stopped in 2020, they realised they had the means to contribute to the development of a vaccine. They got right to work but needed additional life sciences talent to make it happen.
Our client needed people with extensive experience in clinical research, regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical manufacturing, procurement and supply chain management SCM, along with various IT and HR roles – all within a short timeframe. The roles were essential for the development and delivery of a Covid-19 vaccine.
As specialists in the life science sector, we were aware of the competitiveness in the market and the scarcity of these highly sought-after candidates. As an already trusted partner of the client, and aware of the urgent need to address the global crisis, we gave it everything we had, creating dedicated project teams to focus our search and find the professionals needed in the fastest time possible. We delivered the talent who had the skills they were looking for.
Our client's success in vaccine development means they can now pursue their core purpose of revolutionising cancer medicine while also developing trials, and funding research, to fight diseases such as malaria, HIV and tuberculosis.
