Company Profile

Industry-leading Fortune 500 global healthcare client within the consumer health, pharmaceutical, and medical devices sectors.

The Challenge

This global healthcare client onboarded the Real Staffing team in the summer of 2018. Before working with this client, Real consultants conducted several manager meetings at the client's headquarters to pitch Real Staffing to become a trusted recruitment supplier. This diligent work from the team resulted in fostering key relationships with prominent stakeholders who signed on to having Real Staffing as a solution for their recruitment struggles.

After onboarding, the Real team was onsite at the client's headquarters every day for a year to build a solid foundational relationship. Through weekly meetings, it was quickly uncovered that the client's previous talent suppliers did not have much flexibility in their approach, had low submission-to-hire ratios, and did not have a sophisticated SOW strategy. As a result, the client needed a partner who would help them solve critical pain points within the organization like retention and project deliverability and be capable of staffing hyper-specific, niche roles. The Real team created a custom approach to finding the right talent and improving project delivery to better meet the client's needs.

The Solution

With over 20 years of experience in the life sciences recruitment space, Real Staffing worked with this client to build a flexible method to fulfill the client's retention and project management needs. This meant adapting internal systems, compiling market data, and contractor management.

To start, the team needed to adjust to best support the client internally. This was done by building a scalable team of experts to meet the client's needs. This shift equated to a transition from a regional focus to a national approach. Without regional office silos and standards in retail recruitment models, the Real team could refocus their efforts and create a client-specific recruitment and retention team that resided in every time zone and had deep expertise with the client and the client's top competitors. This equated to hyper-specific insight and knowledge of the caliber of talent needed by the client.

As industry experts and long-time recruitment partners, it was essential for the client to be able to tap into Real's database of historically successful candidate profiles. When reviewing this data like specific hiring zip code, the recruitment team systematically improved their submission to hire and retention ratios for this client. Additionally, having this historical data available to the client helped the team find the client's ideal candidate quickly.

Once a candidate was placed in a contract role, retention and project management were a top priority for the client. Consultant accountability and project management took on a central focus with long project timelines ridden with quarterly and half-year project benchmarks and deliverables. The Real team became highly involved in benchmarking and project tracking to ensure that goals were met. This equated to weekly accountability meetings and reporting to management, creating a symbiotic feedback loop facilitating success. From onboarding to contract end, there was a marked increase in met goals and retention.

Beyond hard metrics, the Real team consistently integrated the client's commitment to their contractors and employees into their placement approach. Culturally, Real recruiters sought individuals who were committed to the goals and ethos of the company. Real also worked to cater PTO and other benefits to improve the work-life of their contractors. The result has equated to highly accountable teams of contractors that seamlessly blend into the existing client's workforce.

The Results

Unlike other agencies our client had previously worked with, we were able to choose the right talent and truly deliver on the timelines and expectations of the client.

At Real Staffing, we pride ourselves on our partnerships with clients. With our longevity working with this client and being able to position ourselves as a market expert by providing invaluable data, we built a trusting and long-lasting relationship that still exists today.

Real Staffing's Enterprise team is a scalable function that can pivot and adjust to make sure clients are getting exactly what they need to have successful team members and projects.
