The challenge
The Real Staffing team was checking in with a former candidate who is currently serving as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at a medical device company. He was happily employed and thriving but had a need on his team for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist. His team and the internal hiring team were struggling to fill this role. In fact, it had been open for several months, and during that time the senior director was having to step in to complete backlogged work.
The organisation was hoping to fill this position internally, so Real began to regularly check in on their progress and after some time, the client realised their need to bring in staffing experts who could move things forward. With Real’s strong track record of delivering experienced candidates, we knew we could quickly connect the client with the exceptional professionals they needed.
The Real Staffing solution ahead of the project
We met with the hiring team in December 2021, and given the time of year, we knew that the search might not gain traction right away. Many candidates were traveling for the holidays or not openly searching for new positions. Through regular progress reports, meetings with the client, and information gathering, Real was able to gain market intel which allowed for flexibility in the candidate search.
Candidate search
By January, we were able to increase the talent pool and start to build a pipeline of pre-vetted individuals with the requisite skillsets for technology jobs in the medical device sector. This meant we could go ahead and begin a pre-screening process in order to speed up the time to fill.
We met with the hiring team and submitted two very high-calibre candidates that we knew would be a great fit for the role and the organisation. By performing thorough reference checks and engaging the candidates in our screening process, Real ensured candidate reliability.
The results
The client was so impressed with the candidates we submitted, that they ended up opening a secondary position. We advised them on how quickly high-calibre candidates were being secured in the current market and the importance of fast-moving processes. Both hiring processes were one-week long from candidate submission to offers accepted. The candidates were thrilled about the experience that they would be getting from this opportunity and were ready to bring their very best to their new roles.
