SThree named Recruiter Awards' Sustainable Recruitment Agency of the Year

SThree is delighted to have been named Sustainable Recruitment Agency of the Year at the 2020 Recruiter Awards.

Our CSR team has worked incredibly hard in the past few years to have a real impact on our carbon footprint, with a sustainability strategy aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Judges at the event commended SThree for “Strong, mature considerations of impact and strong social engagement with demonstrable solutions.”

Some of the activity organised by our CSR team over the past year includes:

  • A six week travel campaign, aimed at reducing work-related travel and having a positive influence on travel choices. This helped us reduce our carbon footprint by 12% in 2019.
  • Partnerships with 10 STEM organisations in key markets to deliver STEM education and training to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Championed the use of volunteering days among our inclusive workforce – 2,495 hours were used in 2019, and this allowance has been increased to five paid days for everyone at SThree.

Gemma Branney, SThree's Global Head of CSR, said:

“Each and every colleague who volunteers, joins a project or gets involved in some way, has helped us win this award.

“We talk about CSR and giving back as being part of our DNA at SThree and the impact we had in 2019 demonstrates that it isn't simply something we say, it is something we do.

“Each and every colleague who volunteers, joins a project or gets involved in some way, has helped us win this award. This is something each of us should be very proud of.”
