London, UK, Apr 29, 2019 – Leading global STEM recruitment business, SThree Plc, has announced the appointment of Matthew Blake as Chief People Officer. Matthew will be based at the company’s King William Street headquarters and will take up his position on Monday, April 29, 2019.
Having built and led teams of scale, Matthew brings significant experience in senior people functions across a range of industries in the UK and internationally. Matthew has implemented people strategies that improve and simplify ways of working to increase operational efficiency and improve business performance.
Most recently at Rexel, where he was HR Director for the UK & Ireland, Matthew was responsible for leading the people strategies for 350 branches and national sales teams operating across a variety of sectors. Prior to Rexel, Matthew was Group HR Director at Carpetright PLC and previously held senior HR positions at Tesco, including spending three years in Hong Kong.
